In August, Cedar Circle will visit Origin Native Plants, an organic nursery located on IJC land. Owners Alex and Zach will explain the importance of native plants for local ecosystem health. The Circle will include a 2 km walk.
Cedar Circle Sunday Afternoons are reflective experiences with other like-spirited individuals who desire to slow down, and listen to their own soul with the soul of the land at Ignatius Jesuit Centre.
Each ninety-minute gathering is unique, the common denominator being the attentive exploration of connections between nature, individuals and community. Components include contemplative practices, land-basing learning, communal creativity, meaningful conversation and artistic expression. The land is always met as partner and teacher. Discovery is sought.
Every third Sunday of the month between 2:30-4 pm, the gatherings take place both outside and in, depending on the clemency of the weather.
