Born and raised in Putumayo, Colombia, Mario Cabal will bring to Cedar Circle in March his Amazon Meditation. This exploration fosters an experience for emotional and spiritual healing, as well as opens our bodies to deeper rest. The Amazon Meditation includes a contemplative practice with traditional Amazonian instruments. Mario will play music to invite your body to calm, tune into the ancestral sounds of the Amazon and explore your relationship with your own musicality, allowing you to move into a deeper restful state. These sounds go beyond music, carrying ancestral wisdom and tapping into the vibrational frequencies that Indigenous cultures believe resonate with the earth, the body, and the cosmos.
Cedar Circle Sunday Afternoons are reflective experiences with other like-spirited individuals who desire to slow down, and listen to their own soul with the soul of the land at Ignatius Jesuit Centre.
Each ninety-minute gathering is unique, the common denominator being the attentive exploration of connections between nature, individuals and community. Components include contemplative practices, land-basing learning, communal creativity, meaningful conversation and artistic expression. The land is always met as partner and teacher. Discovery is sought.
Every third Sunday of the month between 2:30-4 pm, the gatherings take place both outside and in, depending on the clemency of the weather.
