Cedar Circle Sunday Afternoons are reflective experiences with other like-spirited individuals who desire to slow down, and listen to their own soul with the soul of the land at Ignatius Jesuit Centre.
Each ninety-minute gathering is unique, the common denominator being the attentive exploration of connections between nature, individuals and community. Components include contemplative practices, land-basing learning, communal creativity, meaningful conversation and artistic expression. The land is always met as partner and teacher. Discovery is sought.
Every third Sunday of the month between 2:30-4 pm, the gatherings take place both outside and in, depending on the clemency of the weather.

April 13, 2025
Here & Now Guelph Sangha is a mindfulness community in the lineage of Vietnamese Zen Buddhist master Thich Nhat Hanh (Thay) and Plum Village. April’s Cedar Circle will be dedicated to Thay’s practice to cultivate deeper levels of presence, mindfulness, and loving kindness in ourselves, in our community, and to our bigger body, the Earth.
The practice includes: guided meditation, silent meditation, walking meditation/mindful movement, sharing in reading of Thay’s work (Zen & the Art of Saving the Planet), and dharma sharing (deep listening, loving speech).
Mindfulness practitioners do not have to be Buddhist to practice together. You are welcome to also bring a meditation cushion/seat if you practice with one.
