You will have the chance to join a demonstration event hosted by IJC and Guelph Tree Trust.
Guelph Tree Trust is a charity foundation that works to preserve mature trees. There will be a professional arborist demonstrating how to properly prune large trees in order to increase tree health as the tree matures. You will learn more about tree maintenance and witness an engaging demonstration shown by skilled arborists swinging high in two mature Sugar Maple trees at IJC. They will do specialized pruning that will prolong the life of these trees.
There will also be a short tree walk, planting 2 sapling ‘understudy’ trees, a demonstration of how to prepare a young tree for a healthy future led by an arborist and some short talks.
