Join us for “Another Story Must Begin.
Br. Daniel Leckman, SJ, will lead this silent retreat/ Lenten course that was written by Rev Jonathan Meyer. This retreat will use the famous movie/musical Les Misérables to help us explore the grace of God alongside our fallen state, the opportunities we are given to experience redemption and be courageous enough to start “another story” in our lives.
During the weekend, we will explore how five different characters of this story (The Bishop, Jean Valjean, Javert, Fantine and Cosette) can help us reflect both on our faith journey and on themes of suffering, forgiveness, renewal, revolution (obviously) and love.
The weekend will be divided into five sessions (not including the screening of the film on Friday night), with an opportunity for group discussions in between them and liturgy on both Saturday and Sunday for those interested. There will be no spiritual direction.
