Finding Oneself through the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory

January 13 @ 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

Apply here!

Facilitated by Raj Vijayakumar, SJ

Developed by Katherine Briggs and Isabel Myers, the Myers-Briggs Type Inventory has been a tool for self-assessment since the 1940s. In this introduction to the MBTI, you will learn about how the tool can be a useful instrument for self-knowledge and personal growth. Together we will look at the meaning of the MBTI, and how this tool can not only highlight your strengths but also your areas of personal development.

The day will include presentations, time for personal reflection, interaction with other participants, with snacks and coffee provided by Loyola House kitchen. As always, you can make use of the beautiful, vast grounds of IJC. You may choose to do an online version of the MBTI (this can be helpful but not necessary for our day together).

  • Bring your own lunch
  • Snacks and beverages provided by the Loyola House kitchen
  • Bring a journal and writing implement

Raj Vijayakumar, SJ is a Jesuit seminarian doing his work placement at Guelph Ontario. He comes with a Masters in Theological Studies and Masters in Divinity from Regis College. Before working in Guelph, Raj worked in Montreal at the Villa St. Martin where he conducted retreats based in Ignatian Spirituality.
