Songs of Joy, Doubt, and Hope

May 9, 2025 @ 7:30 pm - May 11, 2025 @ 12:30 pm

Exploring the Spiritual themes of the musical “Hedestown”

Facilitated by Dan Leckman, SJ

Apply here!

Br. Dan Leckman will guide you in a semi-silent exploration of the Spiritual themes behind the show, and will tie those themes to scripture passages that can deepen our reflections. We will be contemplating such questions as:

  • can I still find joy in times of grief
  • how is my image of God challenged in times of struggles
  • where do I turn to when doubt comes into my faith walk, and
  • what gives me the courage to hope these days

We will sit through a listening of most of the show throughout the entire weekend, listening to how these and other themes are dealt with in the show, and take time to meditate how your own faith responds to these and other challenging questions of our time. Spiritual direction will not be available.

Prices:

  • $374 – Ensuite Room  – private single bedroom with 3-piece washroom, desk and chair
  • $329 – Standard Room – private single bedroom with sink, desk and chair
  • $215 – Commuter – a private room is not included with these fees
