Sunday evening to Friday noon— This virtual guided retreat will provide you with prayerful input on the implications of the Spiritual Exercises of Ignatius “transposed” in the spirit of Teilhard de Chardin. It will also include the considerable biblical scholarship of the past hundred  years to help us recast some of the key theological dimensions of the Exercises. We will explore Teilhard’s understanding / experience of the Cosmic Christ, an evolutionary step forward for humanity. We will reclaim the original message of Jesus about a new way of being human together – the “kingdom of God” – as nonviolent resistance to the dominant consumerist / materialist culture; and explore the centrality of Love in Teilhard’s mystical vision.

Ten YouTube input sessions will be provided for participants during the course of the five days and other prayer resources will also be sent. Those who register will receive Zoom links for an opening session on Sunday evening, optional faith-sharing gatherings on Monday through Thursday evenings, and a closing session late Friday morning.

This retreat can be combined with the weekend retreat for a 7-day retreat.
