A Discerned Digital Detox

In today’s fast-paced, technology-driven world, constant screen time can lead to stress, anxiety, and disconnection from ourselves, nature and the people around us.
The ‘Unplugged to Reconnect Retreat’ aims to provide an immersive experience, empowering participants more consciously to choose their level of engagement with technology and reconnect with themselves.
Reflective discussions on the scientific support of downtime from screens, instruction in the art of discernment for making choices more freely, guided meditations, time spent in nature, and explorations of embodied practices like yoga will help retreatants establish a healthier relationship with the devices of our lives.
Rather than attempting to free ourselves definitively from all technology, which would be unsustainable for most of us today, our goal will be to recognize and reduce our current enslavement to it. Invest in this transformative experience and embrace a more balanced life in the digital age.

Feedback from 2024’s retreat:
We arrived home yesterday from two and half days at Loyola House. For a variety of reasons steeping away from responsibilities, worries and day-to-day interactions was what we both needed. The experiences and opportunities you and Katherine offered was ideal, My spouse is of the Jewish tradition. Loyola continues to provide an atmosphere where all are welcome. He is drawn to the warm accepting environment. Thank you.
Katherine and you make a good team. You both had your pulse on the needs the group and we benefited from your flexible leadership style.
Katherine has a gift for helping others awaken the connection within our bodies, minds and spirits. For many of us, early formation took place in a dualistic world. With leaders like Katherine we can more easily move towards personal integration and oneness with the world around us.
