Loyola House continues its long tradition of offering opportunities to deepen your relationship with the Trinity – on-line during this time of pandemic. Same quality presentations; same opportunities for silence and meditation; but right in your own home.
Friday evening to Sunday noon—This virtual guided retreat will provide you with prayerful input inspired by Louis Savary’s The New Spiritual Exercises, In the Spirit of Pierre Teilhard de Chardin, recast in light of what we now know of evolution, our universe, and the changes in our understanding of God and God’s relationship with the universe. We will explore these seismic shifts in understanding between Ignatius’s cosmology and our 21st century view of the world. We will also explore aspects of Teilhard’s mystical vision. And we will take time to pray with the principles that are at the heart of Teilhard’s way of living his Jesuit and Ignatian spirituality.
This retreat is facilitated by Bernard Carroll, SJ and Andre Auger.
Six YouTube input sessions will be provided for participants during the course of the weekend and other prayer resources will also be sent. Those who register will receive Zoom links for an opening session on Friday evening, an optional faith-sharing gathering on Saturday evening, and a closing session late Sunday morning.
Deadline to register is March 5.
This retreat can be combined with the 5-day for a 7-day retreat.
