The pilgrimage involves a walk from Loyola House in Guelph to Martyrs’ Shrine in Midland, over a period of 8 days, walking 20 to 30 km each day. The pilgrims may participate in mass, prayer, input or a sacred circle activity. Rides are offered along the way when walking becomes too difficult. All meals are provided and sleeping arrangements are in tents. Last year on the last day, the 80 pilgrims from Guelph were joined by approximately 1000 other walkers at the Shrine.
