Day of Prayer – The Things We Carry
Apply here!
Facilitated by Philip Shano, SJ
Contemporary women and men carry heavy loads: your daily responsibilities, personal illness, caring for others, painful memories, grief, regrets, losses and a general anxiety about the state of the world and our own culture.
This one-day retreat offers an opportunity to pray and reflect on the things you carry and how you can live peacefully with them. Are you able to empathize more with others who carry similar challenges?
The day includes three brief presentations, each followed by time for personal reflection and leisurely walks around the land. The day will include the Eucharist, lunch and snacks. The presentations will make use of the spiritual dynamics of St. Ignatius of Loyola.
- Bring your Bible, your journal, a pen, and your water bottle
- Lunch, snacks and beverages provided by the Loyola House kitchen
- There will be no spiritual direction at this one-day retreat
