Community Care Box
The box that grows more than just food.
The Community Care Box is a weekly harvest grown at Ignatius Farm as part of its training and giving farm. Produce is grown by staff, volunteers, interns, and trainees as part of hands-on learning in regenerative and agroecological farming. This work helps form new farmers and connect community members while stewarding the land responsibly.
By purchasing a weekly selection of seasonal vegetables over a 20-week growing season and making an additional donation, you can also make it possible for Ignatius Farm to share an equal or greater amount of produce with local service agencies and community partners including Hope House, Chalmers Community Services Centre, and Marianne’s Place, the shelter for Guelph-Wellington Women in Crisis. In this way, each box supports both personal nourishment and the wider wellbeing of the community.
Each week’s harvest reflects both the season and the learning happening on the farm. Produce is grown using regenerative practices as part of hands-on training and ecological stewardship. The contents of the box will vary throughout the season, connecting participants directly to the land and the farm’s work.
Through this shared model, the Community Care Box connects supporters directly to Ignatius Farm’s work helping to sustain farmer training, ecological stewardship, and the sharing of food with those who need it most!
Pick up is Thursday afternoons between 3:30-5:30pm at the Farm Workshop. Please note that no substitutions will be available.
