An Ecological Ignatian Prayer Journey in Daily Life

How might your relationship with God deepen when you learn to pray with the earth itself? This five-week guided prayer journey invites participants into a more attentive relationship with creation as gift—a place where one can encounter, receive and, perhaps, respond to God’s presence. Rooted in the wisdom of the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius and the insights of integral ecology, the program encourages participants to step outside, slow down, and engage the living world with openness and curiosity. Through prayer on the land and sustained reflection throughout daily life, participants will explore how a deeper relationship with creation can become a pathway to a deeper relationship with  Creator God.

Beginning and ending with gathering days on the land and Mass at the Ignatius Jesuit Centre, this experience combines personal prayer, group accompaniment, and shared reflection. Participants will learn particular approaches to praying outdoors, engage in daily Ignatian prayer, and gather online each week for conversation and guidance. Through a rhythm of prayer and reflection, participants will be invited to deepen their relationship with the Creator, cultivate a greater sense of belonging within the community of creation, and discern how God may be calling them to live more fully in right relationship with the earth and one another.
