People find their way into relationship with Ignatius Jesuit Centre in different ways. Sometimes through a retreat, sometimes through volunteering, sometimes through work on the farm or time spent walking the trails. What they often discover is that the connection stays with them. Over the years, thousands of people have formed a real relationship with this land and the community that gathers around it.

We are launching Friends of Ignatius as a new way to recognize and support that relationship.
Friends of Ignatius is a simple, open community program for people who feel connected to this place and want to stay involved in its ongoing life and work. It is not a membership club or a closed circle. It is a way of saying you care about what happens here and want to remain part of the story as it continues to unfold. Whether your connection comes through retreats, volunteering, conservation work, farming, education, or walking the property, Friends of Ignatius offers a shared point of connection going forward.
The purpose of the program is both practical and relational. Practically, it helps us keep people informed about what is happening across the property: seasonal activities, volunteer opportunities, public events, educational programs, and new initiatives. Relationally, it helps strengthen a sense of shared stewardship and belonging around the land and mission. This is especially important in a time of transition and renewal, as programs evolve and new forms of ecological education, community engagement, and land care continue to grow.
Signing up as a Friend of Ignatius is free. Anyone who wants to stay connected is welcome to register. Friends receive updates, invitations, and opportunities to participate throughout the year.

For those who are in a position to offer deeper material support, there is also a Steward level at $25 per month. Stewards provide steady, predictable funding that supports on the ground work such as conservation and restoration projects, regenerative agriculture and farmer training, land based education, and community programming. Steward contributions are tax deductible. This monthly support helps create stability and allows long term planning for the care of the land and the programs rooted in it.
At its heart, Friends of Ignatius is about recognizing that this place is held up by many people, in many different ways. Some give time. Some give resources. Some bring skills, prayer, curiosity, or care. Some simply return again and again to walk and reflect. All of these forms of connection matter.
If Ignatius Jesuit Centre has been meaningful in your life, we invite you to become a Friend of Ignatius and register today.
