Walking Pilgrimage

From a place of peace to a home of peace…

Guelph Walking Pilgrimage

Start walking the Saturday of the August long weekend, arriving the following Saturday.

Since 2003, a group of pilgrims journeyed from the Ignatius Jesuit Centre to the Jesuit Martyrs’ Shrine in Midland – a place that honours early Jesuit missionaries who introduced Christianity to the Huron Wendat Nation.

Organizers of the Walking Pilgrimage truly appreciate the ongoing support and involvement of the Jesuits. Their spiritual leadership has been invaluable to the ongoing success of this unique event.

Walking Pilgrimage is about:

  • Nourishing your spirituality
  • Enjoying the great outdoors
  • Getting great exercise – 20 to 30 km per day!
  • Having fun and enjoying good company

Those who walk the Guelph-to-Midland pilgrimage find it to be a unique and grace-filled experience. For eight days pilgrims pray, sing, laugh, and share stories with others as they journey.

Participate for a day, two days, or for the entire trip!
