It’s orchard preparation and pruning time and we need your help!

This is a chance for any community member to learn skills in fruit tree care and contribute to a community legacy. In the morning, we will define the community orchard, the seasonal tasks and how the orchard collective will work together this season. After lunch we’ll spend some quality time pruning the trees. Come for the whole event, or either the planning or pruning session.

• 10:30 am – 12pm –  Discussion defining the community orchard, the orchard tasks, activity calendar, how we’ll work together. (Children welcome, must be supervised) Meet: St. Brigid’s Villa
• 12pm – Lunch break (bring your own); Coffee/tea, hot cider and snack provided
• 1-3pm – Orchard Pruning Meet: Loyola House parking lot
