“Making great compost is good for the soil, good for the Earth and easier than you think!” Join us for this hands on workshop showing you how you can start your own compost. Learn what you can and cannot add to your pile as well as some ways you can compost in your home/community. It’s even possible to compost while you are camping, canoeing and hanging out at a cottage. These are all places where we generate “waste” that can be easily turned into healthy organic soil rather than methane and landfill. Ignatius Farm Community gardeners are encouraged to attend to learn more about how they can compost in their plots and how to use the debris piles.
Let’s all make some great compost together!
Facilitator: Karen Houle co-creator of the Compost Queens of the Royal City
