We will be walking between a few locations so please wear appropriate footwear for walking in the fields.
Soil is stardust, undergirding life’s potential on Mother Earth and is a crucial component of terrestrial ecosystems. The flows of energy and nutrients are facilitated by the relationships of soil with water, air, plants, animals and numerous soil organisms. As planetary creatures we are connected by food to soil and life’s cycles. In this session we will contemplate the journey from the great flaring forth to soil to ourselves and will use shovels to explore living systems in the singular medium of soil.
